Patch Sessions

Patch sessions, or Figures, will be available from approximately 11:00am-12:50pm in either the USA Rink or 1980 Rink – Herb Brooks Arena.

What is Patch?

Patch is a designated time to practice figures. Figures are a discipline in skating that requires the skater to learn edges and turns on either two or three circles. The session is called patch because each skater has their own “patch” of ice on which to practice. Many of our coaches are happy to teach figures. They immensely help the skater with body alignment, edges and turns, required in all disciplines of figure skating.
