Training Programs

One of the oldest summer skating schools in the country, our summer program sees over 400 skaters come in and out to train throughout the course of eleven weeks from mid-June through Labor Day. Our program is offered on a week to week basis and its components are a la carte. Sessions begin Monday and end on Saturday culminating with a Saturday Night Ice Show in which every skater is invited to participate. - Click here for our step-by-step guide to creating your own Lake Placid experience!

We also offer two separate opportunities for adult skaters during the summer, one in June and one in August. These weeks give adult skaters the opportunity to learn from our professional staff in an environment with their peers. Adult skaters of all levels and ages are welcome to attend. Click here for our adult skating programs handbook.

Another specialty program that has been very popular is our synchronized skating camp. We offer three separate weeks for synchro skaters to hone their skills with Team USA coaches. Due to housing availability, we will not be offering a synchronized skating camp in 2018, but plan to return in 2019.

There are several figure skating sessions per day at the Olympic Center, making it an attractive place to train for the entire season or just a day. The ice schedule is available on a week to week basis.
